KILLCAT pathogen reduction system
KILLCAT pathogen reduction system was
designed with the processor in mind, to meet and exceed the stringent food safety
regulations that are in place today. KILLCAT systems play a major role in helping
to keep the processor in compliance, while doing so in a very cost effective manner
Industry proven design that mirrors the FATCAT chilling system, constructed completely
from stainless steel to ensure many years of trouble-free service.
The KILLCAT pathogen reduction system consists of a 5’ chiller-like section available
in two different diameters (depending on production load) that has a windmill unloader
and baffle. The baffle ensures that the product has the necessary dwell time in the
system and ensures that the product is completely submerged to provide total coverage.
The INTELLICAT is the control and monitoring side of the system. It monitors both PH
and ORP to ensure that the system is kept at the correct levels for maximum effectiveness.
KILLCAT systems can be used with a wide range of acidifiers that the facility may already use
on a daily basis. This system also keeps the processor from being “locked in” to one chemical
or contract.
The system utilizes and controls the PH using an acidifier to reduce the PH in the 5’ section to a level
where pathogen survival is minimal.
